Stainless Steel 15-5 is a precipitation hardening martensitic stainless steel that is used in a variety of applications. It is best applied in situations requiring better corrosion resistance and transverse properties compared to other similar martensitic grades. The strength and toughness desired for an individual project can be altered by a temperate range in the heating treatment process.
