Alloy 20 Stainless Steel

This super-austenitic nickel alloy is often used in stress corrosion or cracking solutions that may occur with other stainless steel alloys such as 316L. Developed specifically for use when sulfuric acid is present, it is resistant to pitting, chloride ion corrosion and sulfuric acid corrosion.

Chemical Formula

Nickel 32-35%, Chromium 19-21%, Carbon 0.06%, Copper 3-4%, Molybdenum 2-3%, Manganese 2%, Silicon 1%, Niobium 1%, Iron 31-44%.
